Thank you so much for this TriTorch, what a great collection of sayings!

Here is a quote I just heard tonight and I love it:

"Talent hits a target no one else can hit; genius hits a target no one else can see"

-Schopenhauer

I thought you'd like that; I have a feeling you're a genius, too. btw, please tell your friend who did the beautiful artwork, that I plan on printing up his artwork and will be putting a beautiful frame on it and hanging it in our home. I absolutely love it, it's sooo beautiful!

On another note: have been having a rough couple of days due to fires in Los Angeles. I grew up there, right underneath Hollywood sign and it's heartbreaking to see the places I loved so well be destroyed. I have an aunt in Pacific Palisades, she helped raise me when I was little and I don't know if she's OK or not. Your quotes tonight really lifted me out of my depression and had me laughing - thank you so much for that, I think many of us needed to be uplifted! Sending you huge hugs, dear one, hope you are doing well. 💓💓💓

Thank you much appreciated! And thank you for crediting me with the info. I need to get into gear and start writing my own columns on Substack, for some reason having trouble getting going, I start researching & lose track of time. LOL. Looking forward to your article on L.A.!

P.S. - Thought this might have some info for your article on L.A. fires, it's a document about using forest fires as warfare, from 1970. Things that make you go hmmm....

May our Father bless you with strength and endurance, as you wage spiritual war against the powers of darkness and confusion. I stand beside you, my brother, praying daily for God to clear a path for you as you point others to Jesus.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

A wonderful collection. It reminds me of a poem I wrote at 19:

INFINITY

You are piling up blocks; green ones, blue ones.

Everyone will get what they expect.

Wild geese are crying out.

Stray dogs are crossing the railroad tracks.

These are wonderful ❤️ I’m trying to start a substack of poems, quotes and pictures. I find it very confusing. I couldn’t even design a home page. I’ve managed to make a few test posts though. Any advice or tips are appreciated 🙂

That’s great Sarahanne =)

The publisher interface is certainly a labyrinth and took a couple of months for me to become comfortable with it.

If you want to get started right away i can show you how to make me a contributor and can make the article for you with you as the author - in this case you could just email me the content - or - with time - i can try to make some easy to follow documentation for you to help you navigate it.

Regardless, i cannot wait to see what kinds of light you’re going to shine in these dark days! We need all the brilliance we can get!

Thank you for your kind words and support. I appreciate it very much!

I’m just putting quotes or poems with pictures. I managed to do that, but couldn’t make a home page or keep my name with My Favorite Things as the link you click on. They both say My Favorite Things now. Uggh. I wouldn’t even know how to email anything. I tried texting the page to my daughter, but it just told her it was a private page.

If you have time and want to look over the posts I made today just click on the link. Any suggestions on improvements are welcome. I thought doing this might be a nice thing for people, but didn’t realize how complicated it was.

Excellent list of quotes. Some extraordinarily inspiring. One thing that I noticed is a prevalent thread of expectation that life is hard. It is only hard because we live under a patriarchy. And this patriarchy has begotten things like finance, money, hierarchy, competition, scarcity, domination, supremacy, that sort of thing. They are all very bad things to build a civilization on. Life is NOT hard, it is man who has made it hard and women for going along with it. It can be so different but the changes that have to be made are profound. Some have to get the ball rolling and go out on a limb because the vast majority of people are inertial. They go along with whatever is popular. They change nothing. Another proportion of humanity are fed up with this way of doing things and that is the rub to do things differently, vastly differently but oh so good.
